The MOAB bollard itself weighs close to 1,000 lbs. The complete MOAB system, including the underground trough and operating assembly, weighs approximately 2,000 lbs.

MOAB uses an ingenious and PATENTED counterweighted pivot design that balances the tremendous weight of the bollard. The bollard rotates smoothly on a heavy-duty axle and bearing assembly, while the counterweight below does the heavy lifting.

One person can effortlessly raise or lower a nearly 1,000-lb. bollard — with as little as one finger.

And the entire process takes less than 60 seconds.

When vehicle access is required, the MOAB bollard pivots down into its underground steel trough, allowing traffic to pass.

When the roadway needs to be secured, an authorized operator simply opens the hinged access lid, releases the security lock and pivots the massive bollard into its upright position.

A tamper-resistant security locking system securely locks the MOAB in either the UP or DOWN position, preventing unauthorized operation.

In less than a minute, one person can transform an open vehicle access point into a formidable physical barrier.

MOAB is engineered for M50 crash-performance requirements involving a 15,000-lb. vehicle traveling at 50 mph.

Full-scale third-party crash testing is underway. Final certification will be published upon completion.
