The model SM36 Surface Mount Traffic Controller can be quickly attached to existing or new driveways (asphalt or cement) by means of anchor bolts or epoxy cement*. No excavation or cutting is required in normal installations. Installing unit’s end to end can control any width driveway. Because the SM36 is all above grade, drainage problems are minimal. The SM36 teeth and top plate are fabricated from 3/8” heavy duty steel and will carry the heaviest highway axle load expected in normal commerce.LATCH DOWN: (Standard On ALL Units) For locations where it is desired to occasionally deactivate the controller, the SM36 is equipped with a latch down capabilities. The latch down permits the operator to lock the teeth in the down position to allow free flow in either direction. Using a key, only a few seconds per module is required to lock or unlock the teeth.FINISH: Polyurethane Epoxy Enamel. Please Specify either (RED or YELLOW)TEETH AND SPRINGS: Hot Dipped Galvanized.
